We’re excited to roll out OpenSign v2.20.0, a feature-packed release that brings powerful new capabilities and important fixes to make your eSignature experience even smoother.


✨ New Feature: Kiosk Mode

Imagine you're at a trade fair, conference, or any in-person event where you need attendees or customers to sign documents on the spot — without sending links or emails. That’s exactly why we built Kiosk Mode.

With Kiosk Mode, you can now:

  • Set up in-person signing stations using tablets, kiosks, or desktop devices.

  • Allow walk-in users to sign documents easily without creating accounts.

  • Reuse the same device seamlessly between signers, with auto-reset after each document is completed.

Whether you're collecting signatures for NDAs, waivers, or registration forms — this mode is built for speed, convenience, and zero friction.



🛠️ Bug Fixes & Improvements

We’ve polished the platform further based on your feedback. Here’s what’s fixed:

  • ✅ HTTPS Protocol Fix: All signing URLs in our APIs now correctly use https:// — no more manually editing or insecure links.

  • ✅ Better UX: Updated the icon for the “Duplicate Template” feature so it’s visually distinct and intuitive.

  • ✅ Date Widget Consistency: The date field now always defaults to the correct format across all APIs.

  • ✅ Signature Pad Validation: Prevents saving a blank or invalid signature and improves the signer’s experience on touch devices.

  • ✅ Accurate Error Messaging: If a sender deletes a document, signers will now see a clear, actionable error message — no more confusing or blank screens.

  • ✅ Updated Dependencies: Core packages are now upgraded for improved security, performance, and compatibility.
